Are you ready to make a change or reach a goal? Julie Mitchell offers personal coaching for people who wish to pursue coaching independently (i.e., not through an employer).
A partnership with Julie as your coach can make a difference if you: 1) have identified the specific result(s) you wish to achieve; 2) are open to exploring your strengths, along with areas where you tend to get stuck; 3) are willing to take responsibility for the success of the coaching process; and 4) sense a good fit with what Julie offers.
How do you know if coaching is the best option for you? Here’s what Julie says:
“I have chosen my own coaches with care. I suggest you do the same. Trust your gut feeling, but do some research, because coaches vary widely in philosophy, background and effectiveness. Coaching is not to be confused with counseling or therapy, which is more appropriate in some circumstances. I recognize when I may not be the best or only person to help you, so I have a referral network of psychologists, career counselors and other professional coaches I may recommend.”
What can Julie do for you? She has the skills and temperament of a natural coach, combined with a strong academic background in interpersonal and organizational communication. She listens deeply, speaks persuasively and thinks positively. One of her greatest strengths is full-service presentation coaching. She loves to coach people at all ages and life stages, and in more than 20 years of coaching, Julie has helped hundreds of leaders find their voices and connect with others, both on and off the job.
Julie is especially effective with people with whom she shares a career path or interests, including entrepreneurs, business owners, consultants, coaches and professionals in leadership, teaching, mentoring, or training/development roles. She has many years’ experience advising university employees at all levels, ranging from college presidents and senior administrators to faculty, staff, and graduate students. Julie is uniquely qualified to coach people experiencing significant career or midlife transitions, including executives who are leaving corporate environments to start small businesses or consulting ventures.
